Continental Societies, Inc. is an international public service organization dedicated to the socioeconomic and cultural welfare of underprivileged children and youth. The organization was founded in June 1956 and incorporated nationally in 1972.
The Dallas chapter was founded in 1981, since that time the chapter has provided programming, scholarships and activities to students in Dallas and surrounding counties. Today we continue to follow the road of our founder and Charter members, twelve outstanding women who saw a service void in the community and set out to fill it with outstanding and unique programs.

Their primary focus was to provide programs that benefited needy children and youth in Health, Education, Employment, Recreation, Arts and Humanities. Today, we carry on that vision and focus as we meet the needs of children in this everchanging community by partnering with programs such as Stults Road Elementary School, Girls Inc., Vogel Alcove Day Care Center for Homeless Children, Mattie Nash/Myrtle Davis Recreation Center, Plano Independent School and the Dallas Black Firefighters.
We also participate with numerous other selected venues for stand-alone project throughout the calendar year, working with thousands of children. Continentals provide tutoring, mentoring, after-school programs, asthma awareness, literacy programs, apparel donations, food baskets for the needy and Walk-a-thons.
