2008 Outstanding Program Recognition
Dallas chapter was recognized for its outstanding programming to children and youth!
The chapter was awarded 1st Place in the Umbrella component.
Under the umbrella component the activity must encompass a minimum of two of the five (H.E.E.R. components) Health, Education, Employment, Recreation Arts Plus Arts and Humanities.
The winning program was "An Outdoor Classroom Garden"
In addition, the chapter was recognized and received awards for providing programs in the three national initiatives, Asthma, Literacy and Childhood Obesity.
