Greetings:
Thank you for the confidence you have placed in me. It is with great pride that I accept this honor to serve as the Regional Director.
The Midwest-Western Region has served children nearly 20 years and the focus is on the programmatic thrusts of the HEER Program, (Health, Education, Employment, Recreation, Arts and Humanities). Members of the Region are dedicated and committed to enthusiastically plan, develop and implement new programs designed to help bridge the gap of opportunity for children and youth in the various states in the Region and to create safe environments that will help them achieve success and stability in their lives.
Young people are the future of our society. The challenges are many but the motivation is mighty and the Continental Sisters are committed to providing an opportunity for healthy growth and development for children in our communities.
As we begin another year of service, the members anticipate great things, have been re-energized and appreciate having another window of opportunity to network, exchange best practices and formulate new and effective ways to serve the needs of our youth.
Continentally,
Jean A. Newkirk, Director
Midwest-Western Region
