HEALTH
- National Children's Dental Health Month Project (dental health packets)
- Asthma Walk 2006 - Team of 79 members (including 48 children) raised over $2,000 for the American Lung Association. Asthma Awareness materials were provided to all children who participated on the Chapter's team.
EDUCATION
- Icoulbe.org - On-line mentoring/tutoring
- Regional African American Read-In - Read to children, donated books (Ronald McDonald House)
- Iraq School Supply Project - Collected and purchased school supplies sent to a teacher in Iraq.
- KIPP Academy - Donated books to start a new library.
EMPLOYMENT
- Bonham Middle School's Career Day - Members visited and spoke to classes about our individual occupations and careers.
- Urban League Job Fair - Assisted youth (ages 17-21) with navigating large Job Fair.
- Resume Workshop Booker T. Washington High School
- Urban League Job Fair
RECREATION
- Asthma Walk 2006 - 48 children participated in the walk. 3 miles
- Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee's Toys for Kids - Served approx. 1,800 children meals, and assisted with games and gift giving.
- Houston Rockets/Comets Games - Children volunteered with chapter members at Rockets and Comets games
- Ebony Opera Guild's Spring Concert - Chaperoned 12 girls to a night at the opera. Held a class on opera etiquette prior to the concert.
